My cousin and I recently spent a week touring some of Iceland and we were in complete awe the entire time. Hiking on glaciers, walking on volcanic ash and bathing in natural lagoons are just a few things that brought us to this amazing country. Not to mention learning that the entire island runs on geothermal energy that powers all greenhouses to grow their crops was pretty dang cool if you ask me. Though we didn’t get to witness the Northern Lights, as it was too cloudy, that only means that we will just have to go back!
Driving through the mountains was incredible… One minute you’d be driving through a white out blizzard and the next you couldn't see any snow for miles (except on top of the mountains of course). It seemed as though the island was just one giant black and white photo - something you can’t possibly picture until you've experienced it with your own eyes.
