Family Farm Wedding

When Taylor and Andrew first told me that their wedding was being held on Taylor’s family farm (that has been in the family for legit over 100 years) I couldn’t contain my excitement. As soon as I arrived to Taylor’s uncle’s property where the ceremony was held, I was in awe. Taylor greeted me with her giant beautiful smile and gave me the BIGGEST hug. Taylor and her ladies were so relaxed getting ready for the big day, listening to Taylor Swift (obviously), and unscathed by the fact that their outdoor wedding was planned to start in a couple of hours, and the rain was POURING down.

Andrew and his guys were off practising their golf swing at Taylor’s family home on a driving range that her father had created and named after her. “Taylor Pines” the sign read, inspired by a famous golf course the couple loved. The boys hung out in the pool and shared some of the most hilarious stories I’ve ever heard of through their years of friendship.

Right before the ceremony, Mother Nature was on our side. The sky opened up and the sun finally made its appearance. Taylor’s adorably sweet Grandma took a moment during the ceremony to read a heartwarming poem that she had written specially for them. Cue the tears. They ended their ceremony by riding off in their getaway “car” (aka. Golf Cart) to Taylor’s home for the reception. Equipped with a “Just Married” sign, tin cans dragging behind and the whole shebang! BAM!

The reception was catered by a friend that had worked their events for years, and their MC, Kevin, was a family friend that had watched Taylor grow from a child. Their whole day included so many family and friends that had been in their lives for so long that I felt like I had known them my entire life. From sisters that have one of the strongest bonds I’ve ever seen, singing and dancing our way through grace, walking down the candlelit trail through the Wittamore fields while watching SURPRISE fireworks (by Taylor’s dad), to an amazingly hilarious and accurate song preformed by their MC. Every bit of this day was so personal and thought out (shoutout to Taylor for that organized spreadsheet!) that the magic kept me floating for weeks after this wedding.

Your day was something out of a fairytale, so much love and all the damn feels. The way you two lift each other up, balance each other out and love each other so hard, is one of the biggest reasons I LOVE MY JOB. Thank you so much Taylor and Andrew and CHEERS to forever!
